Construction system:
\nModular load-bearing system with reinforced concrete beams, wpillars and masonry

Con il razionalismo romano in crisi ormai da tempo, si generarono tensioni che portarono a liberare il pensiero architettonico da un meccanicismo dogmatico ideale verso un\u2019apertura di ricerca profonda della realt\u00e0. Ridolfi fu il primo a distaccarsi dal razionalismo, nonostante fosse un membro del MIAR, aderendo alla corrente organica. In questo periodo si svilupparono tanti fenomeni di convergenza di idee e di intenti che portarono gli architetti a prendere contatto con la realt\u00e0 del paese, offrendo tutte le energie e le risorse per la ricostruzione, muovendosi su una base funzionalista e rifiutando ogni schema logico, portandoli ad affrontare i problemi nella pi\u00f9 ampia realt\u00e0. Le Torri INA di Mario Ridolfi rappresentano una delle prime architetture a raggiungere un equilibrio tra aspirazione e ragioni formali che \u201cnon \u00e8 azzardato considerare il capolavoro dell\u2019architettura italiana del dopoguerra\u201d (PORTOGHESI 1958).
