Projects variations:
\nAfter delivering an initial \u201cmunicipal project\u201d in june 1946, Mollino revised the roof and
\nterrace, continuing his research. On the valley side, the roof became more traditional,
\nacquiring the form of the typical double pitch, later the upward sloping pitch on the
\nnorth side was also eliminated, as can be seen in the later drawings, in which the idea
\nof the \u2018glass-window\u2019 is also taken up.
\nThree weeks after this \u2018municipal project\u2019, Mollino finished drafting an \u2018executive\u2019
\nsolution, the drawings are dated 9 july 1946.<\/p>\n

Construction system:
\nThe structure consists of reinforced concrete pillars and load-bearing partitions. The
\nfloors of the ground floor and the basement are made of reinforced concrete, while
\nthe floors of the restaurant and bar floor and the attic are made of wood structure.
\nThe exterior parts on the ground floor are entirely plastered, while the upper floors

Situata nel contesto alpino del Lago Nero a Sauze d’Oulx, la stazione della slittovia progettata da Mollino declina un linguaggio moderno che si confronta con temi della cultura costruttiva locale. La sua costruzione era parte di un vasto progetto di valorizzazione turistica delle aree montane concepito dalla “Societ\u00e0 slittovie” di cui era presidente Piero Diuso. L’edificio ritrova la tradizione costruttiva nel suo basamento murario e i seguenti due piani lignei, le falde del tetto sono disegnate seguendo un profilo che si adegua ai dislivelli piuttosto che imporre la
\npropria quota di gronda.
\n“…quest\u2019opera \u00e8 letta come \u201c\u2018trasfigurazione\u2019 della baita intesa non in senso folkloristico ma in sintesi con il senso dell\u2019architettura di oggi\u201d.
