Nel 1949 si apre il cantiere per la costruzione dell\u2019albergo-rifugio per ragazzi di Cervinia, commissionato dall\u2019amico alpinista Giuseppe Pirovano a Franco Albini. L\u2019edificio – che nel 1946 avrebbe dovuto essere una casa con annessa scuola di sci – viene ultimato nel 1952 ed \u00e8 firmato in collaborazione con Luigi Colombini.
\nL\u2019albergo-rifugio, un unicum all\u2019interno della produzione di Albini, costituisce un\u2019eloquente dimostrazione del modo in cui l\u2019architetto brianzolo intende il rapporto con la tradizione, la storia e il paesaggio attraverso una ripresa delle tecniche costruttive locali del rascard.
